Paradisio Bees is nestled in the highlands of northeastern Ontario. We provide bees to customers in areas between North Bay, Ottawa and Kingston. We are centrally located between these three locations in a remote, wild landscape, which allows our bees to be healthy and happy foraging from overgrown and previously abandoned farmlands. We also take pride in providing 100% pure, raw and unpasteurized honey to our community, while providing thorough introductory courses for beginner beekeepers. We take our travelling workshops and classes throughout northeastern Ontario, trying to reach as many bee-curious people that we can every year!
Our backyard is home to where the highlands of the Ottawa and Madawaska Valleys converge, at the doorstep of Algonquin Park. Several back-to-the-land-movement intentional communities established in our area in the 60’s are our closest neighbors. We love our neighbors and love that they are on the same wavelength as us with keeping everything as natural as possible. We draw inspiration from them daily in our farming and bee husbandry. This mutual understanding is what ensures our bees are healthy and pollinate in safe locations. This means a lot to us, as sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We never over-harvest, leaving our hives with plenty of bees, honey, pollen, royal jelly, and propolis to support and nurture our colonies throughout the year. Our philosophy is a happy bee is a healthier bee.
We do everything in our power to practice, share, and promote sustainable beekeeping. We’d love to share a bit of our paradise with you.
